Immeasurable Thankfulness

e I am thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ. He has filled my life with more blessings than I have time or space to write.

e I am thankful for my husband, my daughters and their families! For all my family! God is good!! AND especially thankful for time with my mother and sister!

e I am thankful for my church family —- where fellowship abounds and godly relationships are formed. AND especially thankful for sweet sisters-in-Christ at other churches—that allow me to be a part of them! (Sneads First Assembly YEAH!–Sister Janice–you are so precious!–and my home church—that will always be called home—Carmel Assembly of God!)

e I am thankful for the new friendships formed in Blogville. Sweet new friends discovered here ….I started typing names and realized I would take up the whole page! I am so blessed to have found this “village” of encouragement and love! Girls…if I told you I am praying…I am praying. For you!

Every Thursday, I when start reading all the Thankful Thursday posts. I soon realize how many things I should have listed! I soon forget the problems at hand. I am encouraged by every life that I get to peek into. When someone shares what the Lord is doing in their life or what He has done in times past, it renews my faith. My walk with Him is steadied. I have new strength! From some difficult experiences in my life, the Lord has shown me His great love and I have been strengthened in tough times.

The Lord wants us to encourage one another continually. IThessalonians 5:11-18 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

More encouragement and thankfulness than you can imagine is found over at Iris’ place—“Sting my Heart“. Take some time over the Memorial Holiday and read all the Thankful Thursday posts. Remember all that He has done for you in times past. You are loved dear one. You were worth dying for blessed child. He loves you more than anything. Focus on Him. Count your blessings. They will outnumber your problems. Mention your blessings to someone. Whether it is a found sock that was missing…or a broken washing machine that is fixed…it is worth praising God for! He cares about every.single.detail of your life. Tell Him thank you! Tell us about it!

  8. Wonderful thankfuls today! You are so right.. when I read what others are thankful for, it fills my heart to overflowing!!

  9. Your thankful list reminded to share one thing I am thankful for today….shopping for my mother in law, who does not like me. She has dementia pretty bad and I thought it had gotten to where I could shop for her and she would be grateful and she has turned hateful again. I went in a shop and was explaining why I was shopping and for whom….the clerk, held my hand and prayed for me and for my mother in law before I left the store…I am so thankful for sisters in Christ who will hold your hand in public and pray out loud for you. She made my day..the Lord spoke to me thru her. I am grateful for Him and for her. How we do each need to encourage each other every day…

  10. Amen, Angie. You are right – He loves to take care of every detail in our lives…we just miss is sometimes, because we (me especially) worry about some things that are not even real. They said – it starts all in the head (and we know who puts it there – right)…There is always something to be grateful for. I have made it my goal to read every post this week….Thank you for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.Be blessed today and always…BTW – I always feel humbled when I see your beautiful header with Bible and journal – so sweet…

I’ve written my thoughts on my blog tonight and would welcome your visit as time allows.May God be close to us all as we move ever closer to seeing him face to face.peace~elaine
