To the average eye, this pile of junk appears to be just that. A pile of junk.
But to the recycler…it is so much more!
That’s us too friend. Sometimes we may feel as if our lives are just a pile of junk…but to the Recycler…we are so much more!
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving kindness. I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt…” Jeremiah 31:3(b)
“They will be like a well watered garden, and they will sorrow no more….I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.” Jeremiah 31:12(b) & 13(b) NIV
“For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers for them in the desert!” Isaiah 43:19 NLT
How great is the love of the Father! He takes us just as we are.
Rust, dirt, broken pieces, covered in the debris of the world—just as we are. He removes all the ugly and replaces it with His Light—which comes from His Son!
Thank You Father! For removing the ugly—for removing the “me”—the selfishness of my life and replacing it with the beauty that comes only from the Light. I know it is a continual work…thank You for that continual work and love. Thank You Father for the heart transplant I have received through the life, death and resurrection of Your only Son, Jesus Christ! Thank you for saving those we love who are lost without You! Thank You for taking them by the hand and pointing them Home.
Take the remainder of my days and make them pleasing only to You! Keep my feet planted firm and sure on the straight path! I give it all up to You Lord. In the name of Your only Son I pray—believing as I have prayed—it is accomplished!~Amen.
