The Last Thankful Thursday of the Year

Almost every morning I realize I have something new to be thankful for.

I am thankful that the Lord is answering prayer….even right now. I am thankful to have friends that own an ambulance company and being able to have the needed assistance in any emergency!

I am thankful for my sweet husband….who listens even when I don’t make sense….or when I’ve said it all before.

I am thankful for my family….what an awesome family I have….from those who preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to those of us that hunger and thirst….I am thankful for the thirsting.

I am thankful for my eyesight, which I seem to be losing as the years roll on….my achy joints remind me that I am thankful that I can still do the things I do…..activities outside, from yard work to playing with grandchildren!

I am thankful for the pastures that I pass as I drive to work with their gentle slopes and dips and the great and awesome oak trees of Florida that seem so majestic as they tower above and offer cooling shade to the sweet newborn calves in the heat of the day.

I am thankful for my job, for the fun we have, as well as the seriousness of the work. I am thankful for understanding friends….for the shoulders offered when I need one.

I am thankful for those funny friends that seem to be able to read my mind! And share the laugh (or sometimes aggravation) that comes with the territory!

I am thankful for the new Bible Study I have for the new year…and the new devotion by Beth Moore that my mother gave me for Christmas. I am thankful for every sweet card and thoughtful gift I received.

I am thankful for the Bible on CD—-read by women! My most favorite read!

I am thankful for my “pillow” and the comfort it gives after I have been away from it!

I am thankful for “diet coke and diet pepsi” and on the colder days…for hot chocolate to mix with coffee….and most of all the specialty coffee’s at Starbucks!!!!!

I am thankful for what the Lord has been showing me and teaching my still willing heart…..I am thankful.

I am thankful for Jesus Christ. He is at the top of my list in my heart. He is the mighty Warrior of my soul, the Giver of life, the peace Speaker, the gentle Listener, my Savior….my soon coming King! I am thankful.

If tomorrow I wake up in eternity…..I am THANKFUL!

For more “Thankfuls” go to my sweet buddy at Spiritually Unequal Marriage…..Lynn. The others you find there will bless your heart!
